In 1917, Jess Edward Herrman opened his first lumberyard in Appleton City, Missouri, and began one of the finest family owned lumber companies. Today you’ll find Herrman Lumber in multiple locations across two states. Do we deliver small orders?

Yes, we can deliver any size of order but it does have to be scheduled. You can check for a delivery time estimate from your local store dispatcher.

Do we charge for delivery?

Yes. There is a small fuel service fee for delivery based on current fuel prices and distance. You can get current delivery information from your local store, which may vary by location.

Why does my lumber warp sometimes before I use it?

Lumber generally stays straight when stored and secured properly during construction. Moisture content in wood changes when exposed to the elements. The rates of those changes can cause lumber to warp as it takes on or loses moisture content.

Do we pickup leftover material that was over-ordered?

If it’s not damaged, good re-salable material, we will.
